Founded in 2008, the West Coast Derby Knockouts promotes the sport of roller derby by creating an inviting forum and comfortable environment for all members at any skill levels that fosters confidence, athleticism, and fortitude. Members will develop and sharpen derby skills, while creating life-long relationships with league mates. With a strong foundation based on teamwork and love for the sport, West Coast Derby Knockouts hope to transcend local competition and become national contenders while sustaining our values.
About Us
The West Coast Derby Knockouts is an all-inclusive flat-track roller derby league based in beautiful Ventura, California. Our league is comprised of persons from all walks of life: teachers, students, cosmetologists, artists, legal professionals, medical professionals, financial advisors, project managers, mothers, grandmothers etc. West Coast Derby Knockouts takes pride in upholding a family-friendly style of roller derby; our goal is to promote fitness and friendship through every hip check and knee slide, while empowering persons of all ages, shapes, sizes, and athletic ability. We believe that in order to play like athletes we must train like athletes, and the West Coast Derby Knockouts incorporates both on-skate and off-skate training to benefit skaters at all levels. We welcome the support of family members, significant others, and even derby kids!
